Nitric Oxide (NO) is a biological gas that is generated by the human body to maintain, repair and defend the body cells. Nitric Oxide helps in reducing many health related problems like inflammations, digestive problems, pain, insomnia, injury, heart attacks, strokes, cardiovascular diseases, diabetes, weight loss, sexual problems and even more.
Americans were honored with the Nobel Prize award in the field of medicine for their findings concerning that ‘the Nitric Oxide (NO) acts as a signaling component in the cardiovascular system’.

Inside the human body, nitric oxide (NO) is potentially reactive and a danger free radical. It is a molecule that is beneficial for human health by maintaining a wide variety of functions, especially in the cardiovascular system. NO increases the blood flow, which makes it of interest to body-builders. Increased flow of blood will deliver more and more nutrients to the muscles, and thus help muscles to become larger when they are subjected to stress. The truth that Nitric oxide helps in reducing inflammation also makes it of interest to body-builders; since it has the ability to decrease the pain that is associated with muscles in the case of extreme stress.

Nitric Oxide (NO) has the capability to increase the body’s ability to transport blood to the working muscles. More flow of blood indicates more nutrients and oxygen, which are being forced into skeletal muscles. In fact, with nitric oxide, a person can expect strength, endurance, increased muscle size and quick recovery times. People who are supplementing with NO feel like pumped up every time and grow like never before.

To generate nitric oxide, the human body uses 2 amino acids. The first one is arginine that is found in garlic, fresh vegetables, meats, green tea, fish and grains. This type of amino acid travels via intestine into blood. The other one is citrulline. It is really very important to maintain the healthy levels of amino acid, arginine. It is all because when we acquire certain cardiovascular diseases and other heart diseases described by the deficiency in NO, then the main reason for that deficiency is the lack of arginine.
Some studies have recommended that at least twenty min of exercise (cardiovascular exercise) should be done for minimum three days in a week. Physical exercise is the most important method through which human body generates nitric oxide. At the time of exercise, the heartbeats go faster and faster, and hence flow of blood increases through the arteries that stimulates the production of nitric oxide.

* Migraine: Migraine patients are always advised to take daily doses of grape juice, as it is very helpful for them. They are suggested to take concentrated ripe grape juice early morning everyday.

* Heart diseases: Grapes reduce the number of blood clots in the body because they increase the level of nitric oxide in blood. Also, there are antioxidants in grapes. Which avoid the oxidation of bad cholesterol (LDL). Bad cholesterol is responsible for blocking the blood vessels.

* Indigestion: Grapes help in relieving the heat present in body and they provide relief to irritation in the stomach that leads to indigestion. They are also considered as light food, so can be easily digested by patients of stomach diseases.

* Kidney diseases: Grapes are helpful in kidney diseases as well, as they reduce the acidity content in uric acid. This helps them to eliminate the acid from body, thus relieving the kidneys of extra workload.

* Alzheimer’s disease: Grapes contain resveratrol, which is a helpful polyphenol contained in grapes, which reduces amyloidal-beta peptides present in people suffering from Alzheimer’s disease. It is said that grapes increase brain health and prevent diseases.

* Cholesterol levels: Grapes help to reduce the cholesterol levels as they contain a substance called pterostillbene that lowers the levels of cholesterol in body.

Cranberries have numerous health benefits. Studies have proved that drinking cranberry juice prevents many urinary tract infections. Recent studies also show that cranberries are able to fight the causes of heart diseases and cancer.

Cranberries contain a compound called proanthocyanidins, which stops the disease-causing bacteria to attach themselves on the urinary tract walls. This prevents them to increase and make colonies. Drinking cranberry juice to prevent urinary tract infection is a tried and tested home remedy from many years.

National Institute of Health is supporting a study on the effect of cranberry, on yeast infection, heart diseases, and some other conditions. Other investigators are studying its power against stroke, viral infections and cancer.

Cranberries are used to fight atherosclerosis, which is caused by hardening of the arteries. This disease is fought by flavonoids present in cranberries. These flavonoids lower the amount of bad cholesterol blocking the artery walls, which in turn increases the good cholesterol level in your body. This prevents many heart and cardiovascular diseases.

Studies have shown that cranberries are good in fighting off the cancer cells, and they are particularly useful in breast cancer. These studies are still in their initial phase, but they have noticed some patterns in test animals, when their diet was changed to cranberries. These animals were able to fight off the breast cancer cells more, when they were given cranberry diet.

There is a compound in cranberries, known as proanthocyanidine, which stops the formation of plaque on teeth. This is the reason that some mouthwashes contain cranberry extracts, as it prevents periodontal diseases.

Cranberries are also able to fight the formation or growth of tumors in many people.

If you drink cranberry juice regularly for months, it will help you to inhibit the bacteria known as H. pylori, which causes ulcers and also stomach cancer.
